Artworks

Catalogue works, editions, and formats; track status and location.

The Artworks section is your inventory: every work your gallery handles, with its images, cataloguing details, status, and history.

The artwork record

A work carries the details you'd put on a label and more: title, artist, year, medium, dimensions, inventory number, and a free-form description. Everything except the title is optional — start minimal, enrich later.

Each work also tracks three kinds of state:

  • Status — where it is in its lifecycle (e.g. available, sold).
  • Availability — whether it can currently be offered.
  • Ownership — owned stock versus consigned works.

Editions and formats

Mark a work as an edition to record its number and size (3 of 8). If the same work sells in several sizes or materials, give it formats — each format carries its own details, so "Large" and "Silver gelatin print" are distinct sellable things under one work.

Images

Add as many images as you need, reorder them, and give each one alt text. The first image is the work's cover wherever it appears.

Location

Track where each work physically is — a floor, storage, a loan — using the managed places you define in the Locations section, so "where is it?" always has a current answer.

Tags

Tag works with your own vocabulary (movement, subject, palette — whatever you search by). The platform can also suggest tags automatically from the images.
